Pre and Post Natal Pilates is the answer to a smooth, comfortable pregnancy as well as making the transition to mother hood easily and effortlessly. Pilates is the perfect the way in preparing for pregnancy and birth, it is proven that exercise in pregnancy has many far reaching health benefits for both you and your baby. You will build your physical strength, prepare your pelvic floor and pelvis, learn correct breathing technique as well enjoy a component of mediation at the end of the class that will assist you to calm yourself when you most need it, when you are in labor .

Modifications are given so that you will feel confident and comfortable during the class whilst building your body for the great event. You also have the option of working privately with Sandra on your own personal routine, that is designed for your specific needs.

Before you start exercising you will meet with Sandra for a private assessment.

At this assessment you will:

  • Discuss your personal situation
  • Be taught Pilates principals
  • Receive instruction on postural management
  • Receive supporting resources
  • Be tested for core strength & flexibility

As well as a structured plan, you will receive motivation, support and goal setting that will suit your physical, emotional and lifestyle needs. Generally speaking, 6 weeks is a good time to restart Pilates, but it will differ for each woman depending on may factors. A post natal assessment with Sandra will determine what your personal post natal needs are.
