Why do I need an assessment before starting?

At Pilates Success, we take a personalised approach to movement. Our initial assessment helps us understand your unique needs, movement patterns, and any pre-existing conditions or injuries.

This ensures that we create a safe and effective Pilates program tailored specifically to your body—maximising benefits and minimising the risk of injury.

How do I book my first session?

Getting started is simple! You can:

What should I bring to my first class?

Just yourself, comfortable clothing, socks and a water bottle. We provide all the necessary equipment, including mats and props. If you have specific needs, feel free to call ahead—we’re happy to assist!

I have an injury. How can you help me?

Our studio specialises in rehabilitative style Pilates with a strong injury management focus. Unlike larger studios, were you become lost in class and they are only fitness based, we offer small group sessions with expert instructors who understand how to modify exercises safely.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing arthritis, osteoporosis, or chronic pain, we design movements that support your healing journey.

Do I need to be fit or flexible to start Pilates?

Not at all! Pilates done well is designed to meet you where you’re at. Whether you're a beginner, dealing with injuries, or looking to build strength, our classes cater to all levels. You’ll improve your flexibility, posture, and strength at your own pace in a supportive environment.

I’m getting older (50s, 60s, 70s+). How can Sandra help me?

Ageing brings its own set of challenges—stiffness, joint pain, balance issues, and loss of strength—but that doesn’t mean you have to slow down or live with discomfort. Sandra has worked with hundreds of ageing bodies, helping women restore mobility, build strength, and move with confidence. In fact one of her original Pilates clients from over 12 years is going strong in class at 80- plus years

Sandra personally understands the challenges of ageing—having faced her own injuries and health hurdles, she knows first hand what works. No matter your age or fitness level, Sandra will meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence. 💪
